We are considering moving to a new apartment building which offers Bell, Shaw and Rogers. We own our Bell equipment and plan to use it but wonder about the quality of the service in a multi-unit building.......is HD available or is it all SD. Any comments on this prior to signing the lease:eek:.

Which apartment building? They are all different to some extent. Why not ask the building superintendent?

Lindsay649 I sent you a PM.

You ask about the service, well it is normally just the same as you have now, it is just the same, a Dish a switch or two (OK, this is a simplified explanation) and cables into your unit.

In theory, you should get exacly the same experience as you do now.

Some buildings were done with just 1 Dish, aimed at 91, then Bell started introducing the 82 bird into the mix as well. A lot of the old buildings are being upgraded to the newer specs.

There are no restrictions on Receivers, you can have the max allowed in your unit if you like, even though the unit is fed by just 1 RG6 cable.
