Bell says it will stop throttling 3rd party internet connection (now everyone)

Perhaps (definitely not sure) because Bell retail clients have 6Mbps speed and the CRTC may require them to offer wholesales the same speeds offered retail speeds.
Yes, there was word on the TSI forums a week or so ago - everyone will be getting a bump to 6 in the near future.

This is great news re: throttling.
If bell's in such a happy mood, how about compensating us for 3 years of unwarranted throttling? :p
6016 is the '6 meg' profile.
But in real-world you can never get that 6016kbps because of overhead.
You'll get the ~5.1Mbps you see.

Just like with 5meg (5056) you can only ever get ~4.3Mbps
