If I were to purchase a Bell HD Receiver, activate it on my current account and use my current 9241 PVR with movies transferred to an EHD, could I swap that EHD to the HD receiver to watch those recordings?

I'm creating a kids play room and would like to install a small LCD in there so that they could watch some of their shows without always turning on the home theatre. If I could by a non-PVR receiver and just find a way to access/transfer the recordings, that'd be great.

Unfortunately you can't use the EHD from your 9241 with a new 6131. If you purchased another 9241 (or 9242) it would work.

I believe the fundamental reason behind this is because the 6131/6141 "Records" onto the EHD, whereas the 9241/9242 only "Archive" to the EHD.
