I was looking at the pricing sruture of Bell's fibre offering,
The basic package is equivilant to, if not better than Cogeco's basic package at a lower cost, does anyone think this will drive cogeco to become more competitive in the market place?
Also how come Bell can compete with Rogers and Cogeco in the same sity but Rogers and Cogeco or any other cable company can not or do not?

BELL:
25 Mbps / 7 Mbps
$52.95 /mo (bundled) (including the -10$ for the first 12 months, after that, it rises to 62.95/mo)
*Modem rental ($6.95/mo.) extra
Activation Fee $29.95

COGECO:
30 Mbps / 1.5 Mbps
59.95/mo (bundled)
modem rental included
no activation fee

So no thank you on Bell... Keep adding the little extras Bell hides in the links to "full details" and you're screwed...

I was thinking more about the TV pricing.

Bell Fibre:
# Basic – $32
# Starter – Basic + timeshifting pack – $35

Cogeco:
Basic starts at $29.99 but it offers fewer channels than Bell Basic
Digital Select with 1 theme pack $47.99 with only a few extra channels than the Bell basic.

IMHO $2 more a month for the selection would be worth it if it wasn't offered by Bell.

Deliberately misleading, that sounds like Bell alright...

I can't stand how they get away with advertising prices that are consistently lower that what is actually available. 52.95 becomes nearly 75 bucks after you remove the 2 month discount, bundle discount, and add in the modem rental.
