From what I witnessed and heard from the techs, all the cables inside the house were changed at least once. The only cable that is unchanged is the cable coming into the house from the grey box outside that is attached just above the Hydro Meter.

However, when a recording starts, there is a 3-4 second period when there is some pixellation and lack of sound - but never when changing channels.
I've been experiencing this lately, in addition to delays when I start a recorded show. Afraid this is a sign the HDD is going...? It's only about 57 pct full.

I've been having an issue with my VIP 2262 the last couple of weeks.

When I delete a recording, or set a recording, I'm locked for anywhere to 30 seconds to one minute. Attempting to do anything results in a banner at the top of the page reading "pvr busy please wait"

I'm afraid the PVR is dying, but at least it's a rental.

Anyone else have similiar issues?

^^^ Been having the same issue for the past few weeks. Not all the time; happens maybe one or twice a day. I thought it might be because we had a lot of recordings, but just checked and disk space shows only 49 pct used.

Just started seeing that today. I rebooted the PVR to see if that helps.

Update
Reboot did nothing. Also started to see delays in watching a recorded program. Sometimes it will just hang. Going back to recordings and reselecting the program, it starts immediately. Doesn't happen on all recordings.

I have just started having those delays. It is either a recent software problem or hard drive errors on the units at about 1 year old. Plan to try listening closely too the unit to see if there are sound of the hard drive under stress or performing multiple retries.

It's not hard drive errors, the issue is wide-spread, it's been happening since they pushed firmware to the Sagemcoms.

This is not to do with 2.4, separately they also pushed an update to the Sagemcom, as not everyone has 2.4 yet, we can say the issue is with the router.
I'm seeing it myself, but don't have 2.4 on any of my equipment.

I have been having the same problem. What is the firmware version:

Mine is:
Firmware Version: FAST2864_v6843A
Rescue Version: FAST2864_v7843A

People reporting the issue are indeed running;

Firmware Version: FAST2864_v6843A
Rescue Version: FAST2864_v7843A
Hardware Version: 2864-000000-002

I guess the possible good news is, some that have received the 2.4 update are no longer seeing this issue, so hopefully it will go away soon.
