Hi folks

I have a 3 year old bell 6100 hd that has been acting up . The folks at bell tell me that they are going to replace the receiver under my dish care plan. My question is will they replace it with another 6100 or the updated 6131

Thanks

My sources are telling me that early in the new year it should become the norm to replce a 6100 with a 6131/6141. Now having said that, right now, I would guess another 6100 might be heading your way but with Bell you just never know......

Well keep your eyes on this Forum, if it becomes the 'norm' swapping a 6100 for a 6131/6141, then i am sure your replacement 6100 could become problematic again.....

Anytime I've ever had to replaced a broken/defective/dead 6100 it's always been replaced with a 6131/6141 unless for whatever reason I don't have one in my van, then it's up to Bell to decide what they're going to send them. I don't have a supply of 6100s, and it's better for me to be able to solve the issue on the spot than for the customer to have to wait for a replacement to arrive in the mail.

The guy i talked to at dish care yesterday confirmed that it is a 6100 . But I have my fingers crossed . However i would have thought the 6100 stock would have been long gone by now . Hasn't the 6100 been off the shelves for about 2 years ?

As a 'New' Receiver yes it has but they are still freely available as Refurbished ones at several Retailers.
