The average Bell television customer spent $74.79 a month on television services in the fourth quarter of 2010, up 5.2% from $71.12 in the same quarter of 2009 according to figures from Bell's recent financial statements.

FYI, this includes satellite and IPTV customers.

My guess is most Digital Home members are above average for Television, Internet and Wireless spending.

In speaking with my friends / acquaintances who subscribe to Bell nobody (me included) is near this monthly cost. The only add-on I have is HD... I wonder if we can really trust these numbers? The "average" seems kind of low!

The average is easy to calculate. All you have to do is divide the video revenue by the number of subscribers. All these numbers are filed with the securities commission every quarter and audited annually. The average for Q4 works out to $74.68, so $74.79 for Dec. seems reasonable.

Don't forget, there are a lot of people happy to pay $33/month for a clear signal of the broadcast networks.
