Pretty cool... could use one of those on my red-eye flights to northern MB! Pretty expensive though...! Hope to see if here soon.

The mpeg-4 receiver also sounds cool. Hate to think that my 9200 is already becoming old technology! But it seems very promising (in terms of getting better compression / more channels). Just think... we can get 8 more separate feeds of CBC, CTV, and Global crammed on to 91. :) Feeling a bit cynical tonight...

The extra channels that MPEG4 brings to US customers, might just start the grey market up again. If there becomes too much of a difference in US and CDN value (as if there isn't already) then the grey market will definately restart again!

Any idea what the price of this bad boy is gonna be?
All quotes are in USD:

All three units, including the AV700E ($599 list) with a 7-inch screen, the 4-inch AV500E ($499), and the 2.2-inch AV402E ($329), will be available in October.

Remeber that BEV must first enable the USB ports before they will work in Canada as well.

Install a wide hinge to the back top of the 9200 and mount a 19" LCD monitor (sort of like a laptop). Wire in a headphone jack. Add a slim hi-tech battery pack and a little 300w AC inverter (if internal DC not an option).

Result = World's largest 'portable' video entertainment unit (19" screen). First 'portable' video player with true Hi. Def.

When you've watched all the shows on the HDD, you bring it home, plug in the dish cables etc., and fill it up again.
