Archos said today that its new G9 Android Honeycomb tablets will go on sale next Tuesday September 20th at more than 20,000 stores worldwide.

The G9 Tablet line-up will consist of five models which range in price from $299 to $459 USD.

The five models include:
  • Archos 80 G9 8GB - $299
  • Archos 80 G9 16GB - $329
  • Archos 80 G9 250GB - $369
  • Archos 101 G9 16GB - $399
  • Archos 101 G9 250GB - $469


The Archos 80 G9 models will ship with an 8-inch capacitive touchscreen with a 1024x768 resolution while the 101 boasts a 10.1-inch screen. The entry level Archos 80 G9 8GB tablet features an ARM Cortex dual-core A9 processor running at 1 GHz while the remaining models feature a ARM Cortex 1.5 GHZ processor.

The 8 and 16GB capacity models come with flash storage. The 250GB models are equipped with a a mechanical hard and a dedicated 4GB flash intelligent caching system which Archos says will make the them feel as fast and responsive as a flash device. In addition, Archos says this hybrid solution is designed to limit spinning and to keep the drive powered down when not in use, which will protect it when on the go as well as preserve battery life.
