USAToday Comment on TV Coverage

To protect ESPN's Sunday night exclusivity, Fox's relocated Vikings-Giants game tonight in Detroit will only go to those teams home markets -- New York and the Twin Cities -- as well as Mankato, MN and Rochester, NY. And, of course, to DirecTV Sunday Ticket subscribers, who always get everything.
But NFL Network will re-air the game in its entirety at midnight ET tonight. Better than nothing.

So, NFL fans in Canada who get Fox from Rochester, NY are smiling.

wondering the same thing here. On the U.S. station, they said it would air in Minnesota, New York and on NFL Sunday Ticket. Can't find any mention via CTV, TSN or WUTV.

I'm pretty sure that the article stampeter linked is incorrect. It should air in NY City, the Twin Cities and the Vikings Secondary markets, which are Mankato MN and Rochester MN, (not Rochester NY, which is a Bills secondary market). I think the only way to watch the game live in Canada is with NFL Sunday Ticket. I can confirm Rogers will be showing the game, I'm not sure about Bell. It will be replayed at Midnight on NFL Network though.

NFL's official list of cities whose FOX affiliates will have the game:

New York, NY
Albany, NY
Minneapolis, MN
Mankato, MN
Rochester, MN
Duluth, MN

Looks like somebody switched their "Rochesters".

Bottom line: Only the above FOX affiliates and NFL Sunday Ticket subscribers will have the game. It is confirmed for the NFL Network at 12am ET as mentioned above.

Scottyb123 has it correct from what I have heard. Hiestand, who usually is a pretty good writer, made a couple mistakes in that article. As Hugh pointed out, it's Monday night, not Sunday and it should say Rochester, Minnesota, not New York.

The NFL has approved the game to air in these markets
New York, NY
Albany, NY
Minneapolis, MN
Mankato, MN
Rochester, MN
Duluth, MN

NFL: Giants Game Will Not be on TV in Rochester

FOX Rochester (WUHF-TV), will not be allowed to air tonight's New York Giants vs. Minnesota Vikings game from Detroit's Ford Field. Sinclair Broadcasting, owners of WUHF-TV, requested permission from the NFL this morning to get an exemption to air the game.

The Giants and Vikings were forced to move their game from Minneapolis's Metrodome after heavy snow caused the roof there to collapse early Sunday morning.

The only television markets allowed to carry the game will be New York City and Albany, as well as Minneapolis and neighboring markets in Minnesota.

lucky me I have Sunday Ticket.

The NFL is determined to "protect" its originally scheduled Monday night game on ESPN which has the Ravens facing the Texans from Houston.

lucky me I have Sunday Ticket.
