I was in Sams Club this afternoon and noticed they were selling the Antennas Direct C1. So I carefully investigated the box.
The good news first.
Low and behold, real honest, plainly stated gain figures and patterns were printed on the back of the box. No overly fancy technical graphs, just stuff people were used to seeing for 50+ years honestly stated. (with all due respects JER3) Congrats to AD, and to a lesser extent Stampeder, holl-ands, (and maybe me) for pointing out the errors of their ways, heh.
Now the bad news.
The C1 is the stupidest antenna to be sold in my area, next to rabbit ears. Only 2 local low power stations are available, which not many watch. Even in a 30 mile radius of where the antenna is sold at, it makes absolutely no sense. In the immortal words of Jar Jar Binks, " Wat were yousa tinking of " ??
At a minimum a C2 or C4 should be sold in this area, which is at minimum, 48 miles from main broadcasting networks ! And you have no real option for real channel 6 WPVI, thats important to most in this area. Whats up with your marketing dept again ?
Do you really have people with active brains in there , heh ?
Edit: I consider marketing to include sales. If you judge marketing by literature and the stuff on the box, a massive improvement in that catagory has been made, congrats.
