I have been using ICS Browser+. Is Chrome really better? I downloaded it last night, but it just looks like any other browser to me.

I find it to be noticeably faster than even ICS Browser+, although I do miss the "Request Desktop Site" option and the quick controls.

I think over time the Chrome browser will be really good, but there are still some things they need to work on. Given that we are seeing this kind of performance on a "beta" platform, I can't wait to see how it performs in a final build.

Well hopefully my Inc S will be in the next wave!
Good news, HTC has detailed the next wave.
The first round of upgrades will roll out by the end of March for the Sensation, Sensation 4G and Sensation XE. The Sensation XL will be upgraded to Ice Cream Sandwich “soon thereafter”, the company noted. Additionally, other devices will also get Ice Cream Sandwich upgrades “later this year”, including the Rezound, Vivid, Amaze 4G, EVO 3D, EVO Design 4G, Incredible S, Desire S and Desire HD.

Awesome! Thanks for the link. I like my ASUS Prime and love my HTC....having them both run ICS is just like gravy. :)

Finally installed it on my HTC Desire. I like it alot. Of course its a beta version is not 100% but overall i really like it. I always found it hard to stay away from sense roms but this maybe a keeper. I like the built in bandwidth alarms.

My HP Touchpad also is running an alpha version of ICS and its pretty amazing. not perfect by any means but a daily driver none the less...

These latest upgrades will hopefully keep me from buying another phone too soon. lol

Apps Missing from "My Apps" in the Market

Anyone else experiencing a problem where when you go into the Market and look under "My Apps" in ICS, about 75% of the installed apps are missing from the list? If I manually search the market for one of the missing apps, it recognizes that it's installed and gives the option to "update". And then that particular app is back in the "My Apps" list. But it wasn't listed there before and hence I didn't know there was an update waiting. Some of the missing apps have pending updates, others do not.

But I don't know why they disappear from the "My Apps" list? Anyone else noticed that?

And is there a way to have it search and re-catalog all of the apps that are installed on the phone - doesn't look like there is?

One thing I miss from the App Market is when the installed apps were listed in order of install date. Now it's alphabetical, which doesn't help when some of the names of apps aren't obvious.

I've had that happen in Gingerbread from time to time. Try clearing the market cache, it always makes mine re-index the apps.

Got tired of waiting for the official release so I went and installed CM9 on my Nexus A.D. Pretty good so far. The hardware acceleration is really nice for scrolling and smooth screen transitions, but gingerbread was better for games. I have seen noticeable lag in 9 innings baseball and some gameloft games.

Seems that they broke the market for people - unless they do a factory reset or jump through hoops installing an older version. Hard to believe that after all this time of 4.0.2 being available, they didn't catch that when testing the update.

It seems to work fine now on my GN, after the Market was updated to Google Play today.

I reverted back to Gingerbread on my HTC Desire. I gave ICS a solid month and a half of use and as much as i love the polished look of ICS i think i miss Sense too much. Im looking forward to seeing a rom with sense on ICS which HTC is doing with the HTC ONE....

Pardon my dumb question:

I recently got a Nexus S. It does not have ICS. It has Android version 2.3.6

Isn't it supposed to upgrade to ICS on its own being that it is a Nexus, or is there something I have to do?
