Mad Men was definitely made to be viewed in HD or not at all.

Rogers doesn't carry AMCHD for god knows what reason. In previous years they compensated by putting Mad Men HD on demand at no charge but this year they started posting it in SD only.

I've resorted to downloading the show each week. The quality isn't HD, but it's far superior to the overly compressed SD feed that Rogers is providing this year.

As the first season of The Killing ends and a fourth season of Breaking Bad begins, I am wondering, again, will Rogers ever get AMC HD. Are there any Rogers staff here than can explain why we don't have AMC HD yet? Watching AMC SD zoomed to 16:9 screens looks awful...

I have just started watching Breaking Bad on the PVR -- picture quality of the SD channel is terrible. For the first few episodes the image would occasionally distort, almost blur. It sort of makes it look as if the show is shot with a shaky camera. Episode #3 looked marginally better.

Does anyone else get this effect? With the growing programming on AMC, Rogers should be upgrading to a better SD feed at at a minimum.
