Aliant announced today that it is expanding its relationship with Apple to add the iMac to the Aliant Computer Purchase Program line-up. Aliant is the first company to launch an Apple desktop computer and Internet package in North America.

The iMac comes complete with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 1 GB of memory, and a 250 GB hard drive. iMac features include a built-in iSight
camera, iLife '08 (iMac's photo, movie, music and web suite of programs), Front Row (iMac's media centre), and a 20-inch widescreen display.

$84.95 per month with High Speed internet service or $52 a month on top of an existing package

$52.00 a month? $52 x 36 months = $1872.00

Apple's current listed price for the iMac model described on Aliant.net is $1299.00.

Aliant's profit from each system: $573.00. They would have a loyal High-speed customer for at least 3 years.

There seems to be a lot of money to be had from their PC + Internet Marketing system.
