Anyone know that radX, eqHD, Treasure HD, Oasis HD includes advertising commericial products, or is it commercial-free? Does these four High Fidelity channels gets interruption during a program, or is it uninterrupted?
They have commercials although they are limited. Don't know if that's because they purposely restrict ads or whether its because they don't sell many ads.
They advertise themselves as commercial free but most of their programming does have interruptions which they use to advertise other programs. The ads by the way are all in HD and can be spectacular.
Their HD movies are both commercial and interruption free although unfortunately they have made the decision to show all films "without the black bars" which of course means that most films are NOT in their original aspect ratio.
Any interruptions I've seen have been for other programming on the HiFi channels, so not a commercial in the typical sense, however, an interruption none-the-less.
The times that I have been able to watch these channels, (while visiting Dad in a Rogers cable zone) I don't recall being bothered by typical advertising, although they did show what was upcoming on the other HiFi channels. When I get home (in a Cogeco cable zone) I can't really say if the non-standard advertising is really noticeable or not. That's because Cogeco doesn't carry those channels. I would get them if they did - but they don't. Was that veiled enough?
