I see Adobe has joined the ranks of bloatware. Now when you download an Adobe Shockwave Player update you have to opt-out of Norton Security Scan during the install (not before). It sounds harmless enough but I really doubt it will scan your PC and quietly disappear. More bloat. I see it says 300KB. Want to bet it is more ... a lot more than that?

That crap has been going on for awhile. One more reason to hate Adobe.

The one that really gets me is the Sun Java installer where the default installation includes the Yahoo toolbar! The two have nothing to do with each other. Sun used to be a respectable company too. I don't know if that's the Oracle influence or what.
