How come Telus can't instantly add a channel I want to subscribe to? Why do I have to wait a day? All the other provides I have ever had add them instantly.

LOL, you've never had ShawDirect or Bell then. I had to wait more than a day several times for my ShawDirect requests to go through and I have friends that had the same exp with Bell.

You don't always have to wait all day to get new channels on Optik. The system is automated. Your request is entered and then it takes anywhere from 5 minutes to 24 hours to get the channel to you.

I've requested channels for customers and they've had them before I've left their homes, others have to wait a while longer. The system max wait time is 24 hours. When I ordered several new channels earlier this year I got most of them within 20 minutes, the last one took about 12 hours.

That's just the way it is.
