Hello.

If I add a channel package to my account, but one of my DCT's wasn't plugged into cable at the moment, and its plugged in now, do I have to call in and get them to reset that box so it gets the new channels? or will the box update itself eventually.... how long does that take?

An employee probably has better insight to this, but I don't believe the boxes need to be powered on to make changes to your account.

About a day a half later the channels started working, so my guess it updated with head end on its own

As long as they're all on the same account I think you just need 1 on set to the channel IF you want to watch it being adjusted to make sure that it went through (though not mandatory for them to activate/deactivate it).
