Hi, just picked myself up a used 9242, and I'm curious as to the home connect feature. I used this sites search engine, to no avail, as well as google. Can anyone elaborate as to this functions features for me please and thanks? Also wondering if it can be used for streaming movies from my home network.

Not possible. Home connect is just a TCP/IP replacement for the phone connection.

You might want to check out Remote PVR, which allows setting timers from a PC or devices such as the iPhone. An external USB hard drive can be connected to add more storage space for recordings. These are discussed in other threads.
