Current Version is E643, at least that is what mine has, and it was uploaded July 21, 2009. Sorry don't have all the past info though.
The soft/firmware will update even without a card, if you enable automatic update, otherwise it will let you know if there is an update though and give you that option. You have to have E6xx for the reciever to recognize the newest cards.
