Little bird told me this....
Q1 2017 is the goal. Same platform being rolled out in Ont.

Now I don't know if 2017 is a typo or not. I'm sure he will let me know.

Me thinks 4K TV will be mainly for sports events, other wise the networks(I'm assuming not sure if the same studio cameras can do both HD & 4 K broadcasts?) Also I can't see the US network changing all the network shows into 4K especially if they need to but new equipment for it?

Word is that September of this year will be the time Telus will roll out 4k for Western Canada. I'm not sure if that puts Western Canada ahead of Atlantic Canada.

Q1 2017 was the best estimate that Rogers could give me. Aliant FibreOP offers 4K now so after ten years with Rogers I switched. Raptors and Blue Jays home games are in 4K and TSN had the Masters in 4K. The picture is incredible. Overall I'm happy with the move.
