At home I have a pvr and a 4100 setup on a switch and a power inverter working just fine. I am traveling down south and I brought the 4100 with me and picked up a "dish network 500" dish one lnb is dual one is single.

I have looked up the info I need to point to but for the life of me i cannot get the signal to show for 91 or any bird for that matter.

Im only looking for 91
Yes i did a check switch.

Do i have the wrong dish?
What lnb should I be using of the 2?
Is the ird locked into using the switch?

Dish is correct.
Either LNBF can be used.
No, just run a Check Switch with no cables on the 4100, it will clear its' memory.

You just have not hit the bird yet. Ensure you are looking for 91 any Transponders. You should get it eventually. See if you can spot some other Dish's around, to give you a clue as to direction, remembering that they will be aimed at 110 etc.
