On August 16th, SaskTel went live with the first phase of its new 3G+ wireless network after a six week technical trial with select employees.

This week, thanks to a network sharing agreement signed in 2009, Telus Mobility customers in Saskatchewan also have access to the faster 3G+ wireless network.

The 3G+ network is now available to Sasktel and Telus customers in Regina, Saskatoon, Moose Jaw, Weyburn, Estevan, Yorkton, Swift Current, Prince Albert, North Battleford, Buffalo Pound, White City, Melville, Dalmeny, Martensville, Warman, Hepburn, Waldheim and most of the connecting highways.

The full 3G+ network is expected to be available to 98% of the population of the province when the complete network is complete in 2011.
