1) Are USB 3G keys tied to their mobile service provider, as with locked cell phones?
2) Are keys purchased in France limited to the GSM frequencies used in Europe?
Thanks!

1.) Yes, Mobile internet sticks are carrier locked (At least those in Canada are)

2.) Can you post the model and make of the stick from France so we can look up the frequency bands.

Thanks, I will examine the keys for Orange, SFR and Bouygues Telecom, although no frequency info on their respective websites. SFR does mention that its basic key is 'Europe-USA' compatible, but many users seem unsatisfied with it. Low and unstable connectivity. I'll keep looking around.
