For those of us who have a black screen, are we missing out on actual content? Or is just a demo loop?
well. see, thats exactly the thing.
On any general day, it is a 10-20 minute loop. This could change at any minute.
Click here for the Rogers Redboard article where they stated that all subscribers with an HD box will enjoy the in your face action of the world cup in 3d/
The Toronto Star - an article about how Rogers and Shaw are committed to their clients and their need of 3d Television
With my issue, they claimed that since almost nobody had 3d TV's, it is not a priority at this time. Well if it isn't a priority at this present time (when every other cable company is trying to set up channels, when will be the time).
To them... the channel is useless, and boast nothing.. Well when they chose to put up more events once again me and all the others will not be able to access it, and we can only assume that it wont be fixed, because they stated that they can do nothing about it right now. Its either the lobby cam, or 3dtv.
So, for those of us that have a black channel, we will never know if and when they put on the odd 3d special, documentary, sporting event, or anything 3d.
Keep in mind Other companies like DirecTV are advertising on their website about the 3d channels that they are broadcasting, while my cable company "ROGERS" doesn't even care to get the channel accessible to its subscribers, let alone, get actual content on it.
This is not a good position that they just put themselves into on regards to my situation.
The fact that they dint care to resolve my issue about getting the channel, makes me have no faith that they even care to bring content, or broadcasters on their channel line up.
I used to be with Cogeco, and we had a similar issue years ago, but with other channels, i believe it was when High Def was just rolling in. Cogeco had Senior tech and management dealing with it, and fixed it within a week. Rogers claims they have no solution at this time, and they have nobody looking in to it either.
This all means that anybody in the North York area, that lives in an apartment that would like to purchase a 3D TV will go to Bell, Shaw, or any other system other than Rogers.
