lol....no offense, but 3d tv and "getting a lot of content" shouldnt be uttered in the same sentence.
I hope for your sake (because I really do like those of you early adopters on the "bleeding edge") that SD starts to carry some. But I think you're way ahead of your time and may have a long wait ahead of you, esp considering how SD has lagged in terms of its hardware oferrings.

I just got my first HD set!!! Not true my computer screen was technically my first HD screen. I think 3d will wait another five years for me!

Yeah. My feeling is 3D is a gimmick at best. I tried watching it one time but the constant flickering whenever I moved my eyes out of the centre of vision made me nauseous.

I'm quite happy with my current HDTV.

3d Content.

3d is happening at breakneck speed compared to hd. I remember when hd hit the scene. A promo channel with about a 3 hour loop for 24/7. Discovery channel has anounced a full time 3d channel, espn sports has, and panasonic has. Also if you can get direct tv they have 3d movies on demand. When it comes to the flicker that has alot to do with refresh rate. The panny with 600hrtz has no flicker at all. If you go to the panasonic sight or look up ces 2010, I think that the tech is here.
