For those of you who might be getting a little impatient waiting until the 14th for the premiere, check your... ahem... alternate acquistion sites. The first 2 hours have appeared, and I suspect the second 2 hours will shortly follow.

The first hour is amazing! Everything you expect from '24'. I just wish my download would hurry up so I can watch the second hour!!

All 4 hours are now out. Whether you watch it now or a week from now on the tube, '24' fans will not be disappointed. The fourth hour is as jaw-dropping as anything we've seen to-date.

The only bad news for me is that I now have to wait until the 22nd to see the next episode!

That reason + I'd rather watch it on HDTV with 5.1 audio are good enough reasons for me to stay away.

P.S. These are apparently a DVD-rip of a North American Retail DVD due out on January 16th 2007 (1 day after the TV airing) containing the full premiere (4 hours) as well as a 12 minute preview of episode 5.

So happy to hear about this. Have to go out of town on business and will miss both of the premier days so I would have had to do this anyhow. Now I won't feel like I missed out and won't need to resist the urge to look at spoilers. :)

Go get 'em BigBlue!

Just to clarify the preview mentioned above, it is actually the first nearly 12 minutes of the actual fifth episode, from "Previously on 24" through the opening credits to the first commercial break. It seems rather silly to have included this, but it does introduce viewers to what might be the next level of the plot line...one never really knows where the next turn will be on '24'... so I'm guessing that's why it is there.

Anyway, for all others, only 6 days to go!

Hmmm I watched s6 episode one and I'm afraid it felt very predictable. I'm hoping I haven't watched one too many seasons.

Shouldn't we use a spoiler alert for this??

I thought I recognized that Majumder guy...he certainly didn't play a funny guy!
No punch lines.

Show me one area where anyone can argue that anything has been spoiled. I and all others who have posted here have been very responsible to NOT spoil anything in advance of the airings. What plot discussion do you see here? The only information that is out right now is that the episodes are available to those who wish to acquire/see them. No spoiler alert is necessary for that.

Article: Canadian comic turns up as terrorist on 24

Shaun Majumder, the oily jokester of This Hour Has 22 Minutes, is about to debut on the action series 24 as a terrorist. Majumder will turn up in the third and fourth hours of the hit U.S. series, locked in battle with fellow Canadian Kiefer Sutherland who plays federal agent Jack Bauer.

Everyone take a moment Sunday morning to pray to the global simsub gods that they don't sub 24, or don't mess it up if they do!

Thanks :)

hmmm... no sub on SD FOX2 Detroit in ottawa. I'm too lazy to go downstairs and check HD because my projector isn't mounted yet and my 50' component cable hasn't arrived from monoprice.

Looks like GlobalHD's broadcasting it in 4:3 (at least on Rogers). Thank god the football game went past 8pm EST or else it'd be simsubbed.

Global got "caught" in the late-running football game. When it came on at around 8:22 pm, it was unable to simsub "24" in HD. It is running SD now. I've been watching WUTV Buffalo in HD since 8:00.

Put it another way, the only way Global could be simsubbing at 16:9 would be a football game finishing on time. Then it's a matter of putting it's lousy logo on top of Fox's.
