I am very pleased with the weeknight start times when games are played in the Eastern timezone this year. They are an hour later than in the past. Games that start at 1600h Pacific, 1900h Eastern are in the third period by the time viewers in the Pacific timezone get home from work.

The schedule is also very western friendly if the Sharks advance with 1800h Pacific, 2100h weeknight starts.

Good Schedule for Atlantic Time Zone

Also not a bad schedule for the Atlantic Time Zone viewer. Nothing starting after 10:00 PM ADT. During the first round a few California games didn't start until 11:30 PM Atlantic Time. There were some very bleary-eyed people wandering around the next day.

One other question: What's with TSN And CBC sharing the Boston - Tampa series? Is this because of some of the last minute network swaps during the first and second rounds?

Interesting. Who gets to choose which games? If it is CBC, I am surprised they picked games 2, 3 and 4 rather than games 1, 2 and 3 since game 4 could be the last of the series if it is a sweep. Maybe CBC gets to choose which series and TSN gets to choose the games.

I think you're reading the schedule wrong - it's TSN with games 2, 3 and 4. CBC took game one presumably because it's a Saturday game

TSN is supposed to get games 1-3. That way TSN gets a guaranteed 3 games, and any (possible) elimination games go to CBC. With game 1 falling on a Saturday night, and the fact that CBC gave TSN game 7 of TB-PIT, my guess is that they swapped game 1 for game 4.

Also, if the series only goes 4 or 5 games, it saves CBC from sending a truck to Tampa Bay for a game.
