Another top ten for me. I was surprised at how good it was considering the topic and that everyone knows what happens. Best actor for sure.

Went to the premiere of 127 Hours at the Toronto Film Festival in September, with the cast, crew and the real life Aron Ralston.

Incredibly intense movie. You could feel and see the collective shudders of the audience during some of the more graphic scenes... it was really something.

I half expected someone to yell "Spoiler!" when Aron Ralston came on stage before the movie... if you've seen the film you'll know what I mean. :p

Definitely worth checking out. Franco will definitely get an Oscar nom for it.

Aron Lee Ralston (born October 27, 1975) is an American mountain climber and public speaker. He gained fame in May 2003 when, while canyoneering in Utah, he was forced to amputate his lower right arm with a dull knife in order to free himself after his arm became trapped by a boulder.

The incident is documented in Ralston's 2004 autobiography Between a Rock and a Hard Place, and is the subject of the 2010 film 127 Hours.
