I want to get a hdmi cable to connect my laptop to my lcd tv to play movies od all quality including 1080p blue-ray from the laptop to the tv. Do I need 1.4 or is 1.3 fine? Thanks
Thanks, but I have a new question now. After some googling I found HDMI over cat 5 wall plates. I am finishing my basement, can I put cat 5 in the walls from the TV area and then back to the couch area, and have HDMI wall plates at either end and then use short pices of HDMI wires to complete the hook-up. This will allow me to use the laptop on the couch and and use the LCD TV as a monito or to watch movies on. CAT 5 only has 8 conductors and HDMI has 19.
Thanks, I guess I will go with the HDMI cables ( a lot less expensive) and run a conduit in the wall so if the cable has to be replaced I can pull a new one through.
What city are you in Mark, maybe one of the Digital-Homers can guide you to locally available good deals on cables...
