Debt-strapped Canwest Global Communications Corp. has raised a little cash by selling part of its stake in sports broadcaster The Score for $6.62 million.
So it looks like Canwest is getting out of the The Score completely. It obviously needs the money elsewhere.
Score Media has announced that its NBA coverage this season will include 20 Raptors games, 40 NBA games and 25 NBA play-off games. The Score will dedicate three nights of primetime coverage per week to NBA basketball.
The games will also be broadcast on The Score HD.

Rivals want TSN2 kicked out of game
The CBC said “TSN does not have the authority under its licence to launch its proposed new channel,” and The Score says TSN shouldn't be able to sell new commercials on TSN2.
