As per the latest Playstation blog, the update will be available tomorrow (Oct 16).
It was the one big missing piece of this PS3 downloadable game IMO. This game just screams for online multiplayer capability.
Hi All,
I'm "new" to this forum. Actually, been reading pretty often over time, but never bothered to register.
I'm using an ollldddd 4:3 Rear Projection HD TV, the Toshiba 50HX70. It's one of the first HD displays, as the "HD Ready" tag indicates ;) Bought that for more than 5k$ in 2000 I...
Sony announced today the North American release of NBA 09 The Inside available on the PS2 and PS3 computer entertainment systems, along with the PSP.
NBA 09 The Inside provides fans with a comprehensive basketball game experience including NBA action in HD 1080p high definition, character...
I noticed earlier this evening when I inserted Spiderman 3 into my PS3 that the BR-disc icon on the XMB changed to a Spiderman 3 movie icon (which I thought was a nice touch). I tried a few other BR movies, but none of them did the same thing i.e. they all displayed the generic BDMV icon.
Is...
Eurogamer had 5,800 keys for the LittleBigPlanet beta to give away earlier today, so we can expect a North American beta announcement soon. I got one of the keys and used it with my Euro PSN account; the game is beautiful. Though you can create levels and share them, the core part of the game is...
Sony today announced that it would release Life with PlayStation for the PS3 today. Sony describes Life as a "lifestyle service" with which lets users access news and information from around the world through their internet connected PS3.
Initial content will include the Live Channel and the...
Hi all,
My PS3 games are running 4:3 (and 480p, I assume) on my TV that can display 1080i (but not 1080p). (Only "echochrome" plays 16:9)
I all the PS3 set to display 10801, 720p, & 480, and Blu-Ray play fine 16:9 1080i. Using HDMI.
What could be my issue?
Not a lot of retailers seem to carry them, which I find strange, since they carry all other manner of PS3 accessories. Just wondering if anyone uses one, and if so, where did you get it from?
Got a bit of a problem with my nice new PS3.
I am using some cheap Gamestop component cables with the PS3, and when I view the XMB (menu) or use the web browser or playstation store, things look great in 1080i, but when I play a game, the game brightness is dark. The resolution doesn't seem...
I have a few divx videos with multi-channel encoded AAC audio. The PS3 obviously recognizes the audio format as it's able to downmix it to 2-channel lpcm. I'm just wondering if there's any way of getting the full 5.1 audio via an optical connection, or is this simply not possible?
If not, would...
Scheduled for availability in November, the QWERTY keypad fits right into either controller, and can support text chat in PlayStation Home.
The keypad, which also comes with Bluetooth technology, can be removed when not being used.
Finished in black, the wireless keypad is powered via a...

Hi All,
I'm stuck here...
I use my PS3 as a Blu Ray / DVD player, and when plugged into my TV with HDMI it worked fine.
How I get a sync issue. It will switch over fine, but then it will have a greenish flicker. Not the 2 second flicker people had before... Kind of a white noise flicker...
Dissappointing news yesterday from Sony at E3. Sounds like the 80 gig with PS2 backwards compatibility is being phased out, while the current 40 gig model is being upgraded to an 80 gig (with the same 40 gig functionality).
This will leave them with one go forward model. Although...
I have two PS3's. One in my family room which is for gaming, streaming and playing the occasional dvd or blu-ray disc. We have a second in the home theatre for Blu-ray playback, streaming and the occassional game.
I have a Dlink DNS-323 NAS device that has my music, video and photo files...
I want to download video files to my PC, say in divx/xvid format and watch it on my PS3 through the wireless connection.
What's the easiest way to do it?
Now that the Playstation 3 has been released, I am thinking of buying one.
Not only can I play games on it but I can use it to play Blu-Ray HD movies on my HDTV.
One of the key issues between Blu-Ray and HD DVD is the picture quality and here is an interesting read...
