Bell secures Canadian broadcast rights to FIFA World Cup thru 2022

Bell Media and the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) have announced a deal which gives Bell exclusive Canadian broadcast rights to 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia, 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar and FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015.

The agreement means FIFA World Cup coverage in Canada will air in English on CTV, TSN and in French on RDS. Bell also secured mobile and internet streaming rights for Canada.

Sirius XM World Cup Schedule announced

Satellite radio broadcaster Sirius XM has announced details regarding its broadcast of all 64 matches of the 2010 FIFA World Cup live from South Africa from June 11 through July 11.

The satellite radio broadcaster says XM listeners and Sirius listeners with the “Best of XM” will hear ESPN Radio’s English language broadcasts of every match, along with multiple foreign language broadcasts.

Score announces exclusive FIFA World Cup programming

Score Media and the CBC last week announced a broadcasting deal which will provide the Score Television Network with exclusive 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa content for Canadian viewers.

Under the terms of the deal, the CBC is giving The Score access to extended highlights of each World Cup match and content to provide additional coverage of every team.
