New EB Games Canada pricing practices appear to aim at deceiving customers

A story on video game blog Kotaku is reporting on a new in-store labeling practice by EB Games in Canada that appears to be an attempt to deceive customers into believing used games are actually new games.

According to an internal EB Games Canada memo sent to Kotaku, the video game store is eliminating its used games section and changing the colour of the used game price sticker to the same colour as used on its new games.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 first day sales top $400 million

First day sales of Activision Blizzard’s “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3” video game topped $400 million in the United States and the United Kingdom. Citing Charttrack and retail customer sell-through information, Activision said more than 6.5 million units were sold in the first 24 hours of its release.
