Ooma now offering VoIP service in Canada

Palo Alto based Ooma, Inc. said today it is offering VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) service in Canada to compete with the likes of MagicJack and Skype.

The company sells the Telo, a $230 black box that plugs into your home router and your and home phone, and like MagicJack or Skype lets you make VoIP phone calls free of charge to any phone in Canada. Voicemail, caller ID, call waiting are also included.
