Sportsnet announces two year deal to broadcast 50 Alpine ski races

The International Ski Federation (FIS) and Sportsnet today announced a two-year deal which gives Sportsnet the rights to air 50 World Cup ski events over the next two seasons, 25 races each year.

The races will air on Sportsnet ONE every weekend throughout the season and will include slalom, giant slalom, downhill and super-combined races.

Entire Blue Jays 2011 season to air on Rogers Sportsnet Radio and TV

Rogers Media announced this week that all 162 regular season Toronto Blue Jays games this year will air on Blue Jays Radio Network and at least one SportsNet television channel starting with the season-opener April 1st at against the Minnesota Twins at Rogers Centre.

Cogeco Ontario picks up Sportsnet One

Cogeco Cable, Canada’s fourth largest cable operator, has announced that Sportsnet One is now available to digital cable customers in Ontario.

Sportsnet One is an English language national sports channel serving as a complementary service to Rogers Sportsnet, a regional sports network also owned by Rogers Media. The channel broadcasts standard definition (SD) and in high definition (HD).

Sportsnet One now on Eastlink and Delta Cable

Eastlink Cable has announced that Sportsnet One is now available to Eastlink and Delta Cable customers across Canada in both Standard and High Definition.

Sportsnet One now on Bell TV

Almost two months after it launched in Canada on Rogers Cable, Sportsnet One and companion channels are now available on Bell TV.

The Rogers media sports station is now available on Rogers Cable, Shaw Cable, Shaw Satellite, Bell Satellite and Telus Optik TV.

Sportsnet One rumoured to be coming to Bell TV

Digital Home has been informed that Bell TV, Canada’s largest Direct-to-Home (DTH) satellite provider, has reached an agreement with Rogers Media regarding carriage of Sportsnet One.

Telus IPTV to air Sportsnet One beginning next week

Telus announced today that Rogers Sportsnet One will be launching on its IPTV television service on September 22nd. The station will not be carried at this time on Telus satellite tv.

The announcement comes just one day after Shaw Cable and Shaw Direct said they would be carrying the channel. Sportsnet One launched on Rogers Cable on August 14th.
