Income at Shaw Communications soars 14%

Shaw Communications Inc., the country’s largest cable television provider, has announced its financial results for the fourth quarter and fiscal year ending August 31, 2010.

The company reported income was $423 million and $1.76 billion, respectively, improved 7% and 14% over the same periods. Revenue for the three and twelve month periods was $939 million and $3.72 billion was up 8% and 10%, respectively, over the comparable periods last year.
