Onkyo announces NR3009 and NR5009 flagship A/V receivers

Onkyo today announced its new flagship 9.2 channel A/V home theatre receivers. The new models include the Onkyo TX-NR5009 and the TX-NR3009.

Both receiver models include significant upgrades from last year’s models, including the use of the latest HQV-Vida and Marvel Qdeo video processors, new DTS Neo:X dimensional surround processing, Dolby Volume, and new streaming internet radio channels.

Flagship Onkyo BD-SP809 Blu-ray Disc Player ships in August

Onkyo has announced that its new top-of-the-line THX Certified Blu-ray Disc player will be shipping to dealers in August.

Features include 3D Blu-ray playback, support for the latest lossless audio codecs, dual HDMI outputs which allow users to switch easily between two displays, such as a main TV for casual viewing and a projector for movies and sports, and onboard Qdeo video processing technology for deinterlacing, noise-reduction, and 1080p upscaling.

Onkyo TX-NR809 A/V Receiver adds ISF Video Calibration capabilities

Onkyo today announced the TX-NR809, a THX Select2 Plus Certified, 7.2-channel, network-capable home theater receiver which replaces last year’s TX-NR808 model.

This year’s model features a number of video upgrades including the addition of Mavell Qdeo and IDT’s HQV Vida video upscaling and processing circuits and Imaging Science Foundation’s ISF Video Calibration technology.

Onkyo updates the stereo receiver

If you’ve gone “stereo” shopping in the last few years, you’ve probably noticed that it’s pretty tough to find a “stereo” receiver as most big box retailers nowadays only sell Home Theatre A/V receivers with 5.1 or 7.1 channels of amplification that can also play in stereo.

For stereo music lovers, Onkyo has recently introduced the TX-8050 network stereo receiver which can connect to a wide range of modern and vintage music sources.

Onkyo adds three home theater receivers to its line-up

Onkyo today three new entry-level home theater receivers to its line-up which include networking capabilities and a ‘Made for iPod/iPhone’ USB interface. Previously, these features were only available in premium priced Onkyo models.

The new devices include the 7.2-channel TX-NR609, the 5.1-channel TX-NR509 and the 5.1-channel TX-SR309. The models designated ‘TX-NR’ are network-capable and all three have front-panel USB connections.

Onkyo ships three new high end A/V components

Onkyo announced today that it has expanded its product line with three new high end THX Certified components including the company’s first A/V preamplifier/processor, a matching 150-watt nine-channel amplifier, and a Blu-ray Disc Player.

The network-capable Onkyo PR-SC5508 9.2-channel AV preamp/processor features a 3D-Ready HDMI-1.4a interface, HQV Reon-VX video processing, ISF Video Calibration, Audyssey MultEQ XT 32 sound correction technologies

Onkyo adds two mid-priced A/V Receivers to line-up

Onkyo have announced two new mid-priced models to their home theatre Audio Video Receiver line-up.

Features of the new HT-RC260 and HT-RC270 include: Support for 7.2-channel systems, 3D-Ready HDMI-1.4a interface, ability to decode Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio lossless audio codecs, Audyssey sound equalization and Dolby Pro Logic IIz technology and Faroudja DCDI Cinema video processing to upscale video to full 1080p output regardless of the source resolution.

Onkyo ships 3D-Ready Home Theatre in a Box Systems

Onkyo has recently begun shipping the Onkyo HT-S6300 and HT-S7300 3D ready Home Theatre in a Box (HTIB) systems.

Features of both systems include four HDMI-1.4a inputs, support for 1080p video upscaling, lossless Dolby & DTS high definition audio, Dolby height processing, and Audyssey automatic room equalization.
