Microsoft releases SkyDrive apps for iPhone and Windows Phone

In a corporate blog posting today, Microsoft has announced the release of the SkyDrive app for iPhone and Windows Phone 7.5.

Microsoft says that the new apps will allow users to access, manage and share files stored on their Microsoft Skydrive from their smartphone. The app will also let users upload photos or videos directly from their phone to SkyDrive.

Windows Phone 7.5 Mango update expanded

On the Windows Phone Blog, Microsoft this week announced that it is stepping up the pace of its Windows Phone 7.5 (codenamed Mango) update around the Globe.

The company says the update success rates have been very high therefore the Windows Phone 7.5 available update is now available to 50 percent of eligible customers which should speed up the expected four week update cycle

Microsoft yesterday released the next version (V 7.5) of its smartphone operating system, code named Mango, which brings many features to Windows Smartphones which previously only found on Android and Apple smartphones.

Mango promises Windows 7 Phone users 500 new features

Microsoft today previewed the next release of the Windows 7 Phone operating system, code named “Mango,” through a series of media events around the world.

The company says “Mango,” which should arrive on users phones sometime this fall, will deliver more than 500 new features including: multitasking, an improved web browser, better search capabilities and an improved email inbox.
