Telus iPad 3G data plan announced

Over the weekend, Telus announced that it has now begun offering a dedicated data plan for the iPad 3G.

While Bell and Rogers offers two thirty day plans- $15 for 250 MB and $35 for 5GB – Telus will offer just one plan.

iPad debuts in Canada

The Apple iPad went on sale today in Canada, two months after it was originally been expected to arrive.

In addition to Canada, the iPad has gone on sale in Australia, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the UK.

Bell announces iPad 3G rate plans

Bell has announced it will offer data plans for the 3G enabled iPad which goes on sale tomorrow in Canada.

The company says it will offer two thirty day plans to iPad owners with a Bell Micro Sim card: a 250MB and 5GB plan for $15 and $35 respectively.

iPad coming to Canada May 28th

Apple announced today that the iPad will be coming to Canada and eight other countries on Friday May 28th, two months later than was originally announced.

Customers in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the UK will be able to pre-order all iPad models from Apple’s online store beginning on Monday, May 10.

3G-enabled iPad ships April 30 in U.S.

Apple announced today that its 3G-enabled iPad will be delivered to US customers who pre-ordered on Friday, April 30, and will be available in Apple retail stores the same day starting at 5:00 p.m.

The 3G model weighs just slightly more than the Wi-Fi-only version, coming in at 1.6 pounds to the other model’s 1.5 and is about a half inch thicker. The 3G version also sports a small black plastic antenna window along the top of the unit.

Rogers to offer wireless plans for iPad 3G

In a corporate blog posting Rogers has announced that it will begin offer data plans for the iPad 3G when the much heralded device arrives in Canada.

The company did not provide any details on what type of data plans Canadians could expect nor any specific date for when the iPad 3G would be made available.
