MTS continuing Fibre to the Home rollout in Selkirk

Winnipeg based MTS announced this week that it will deploy an advanced Fibre to the Home (FTTH) network in the City of Selkirk and an adjoining portion of the rural Municipalities of St. Andrews and St. Clements, north of Winnipeg.

The project is expected to begin later this year and will take several years to complete.

Novus now offers 200 Mbps Internet Service

Novus, a privately owned company in Vancouver which provides Internet, television, and digital phone service to condominiums and apartments in Metro Vancouver, is now offering the fastest High Speed Internet service in all of Canada.

Thanks to its Fibre-to-the-Building (FTTB) network, the company is now offering select customers in Metro Vancouver Internet speeds in Canada of 200 megabits per second (Mbps).

MTS lays Fibre to the Home in Winnipeg neighbourhood

MTS said today that it has launched an advanced Fibre to the Home (FTTH) network in Waverly West, a new neighbourhood of some 500 homes in Winnipeg’s south-west quadrant.

FTTH connectivity is notable because it allows telecommunications providers to offer numerous services such as high definition television along with very fast internet speeds.
