Health Canada recalls Rocketfish battery cases sold by Best Buy Canada

Health Canada in conjunction with the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), and Best Buy yesterday recalled the Rocketfish Model RF-KL12 Battery Case for the Apple iPhone 3G/3GS.

According to the safety commission, the battery case can overheat while charging, posing a fire hazard. The CPSC and Best Buy have received about 14 reports of the battery cases overheating in the United States, including three reports of minor burns to consumers and four reports of minor property damage. No incidents have been reported to Health Canada.

CinemaNow, an internet video download service owned by Best Buy, has officially begun offering service in Canada.
