Lenovo delivers its first 3D laptop

The buzzword in consumer electronics this year is 3D and Lenovo has added its voice to the buzz by introducing the Lenovo IdeaPad Y560d, the company’s first multimedia laptop with a 3D display.

The move follows companies such as MSI and ASUS which debuted 3-D PCs at the Computex trade show in Taiwan last month.

Power DVD Blu-ray 3D upgrade now available

A quick note for folks that would like to play 3D Blu-ray movies on their computer. Taiwan based Cyberlink Corp announced today that PowerDVD Mark II edition is now available.

With the latest version, consumers with PowerDVD 10 Mark II software and 3D capable personal computers will be available to watch 3D movies on their computers when they become available.

WinDVD gets Blu-ray 3D Certification

Ottawa based Corel Corporation announced today that an upcoming version of its popular WinDVD media player has received 3D certification from the Blu-ray Disc Association.

The certification means consumers with WinDVD Pro 2010 software and 3D capable personal computers will be available to watch 3D movies on their computers when they become available.
