My Experience with one cable

I suspect;
that with OEM equipment and one cable and a simple splitter at dish running cables " only to " Vertical (or alternatively Horizontal)
Polarity outputs on LNB for F1 and F2 satelites...

UPDATE with the Oct 2012 software update to Version 08.26 you can now replace OEM internal drive with 2Terrabyte one.

AND also add the 2T External drive netting storage space of

Got this drive installed today, no issues on setting it up, 588GB of space on DVR (1Terrabyte drive is 745GB)

Haven't notice any real performance speedups, other than I think its a little faster...

Also had that occur this week on a program, cannot remember which one on my 630 receiver. So that would make me believe issue is related to the transmission of signal or something beyond hardware.

Formatting generates " 2 " partitions on the drive, you only see the one in the Diagnostic screens which is the one where your recordings are kept.

Other one is hidden and used by operating system

The physical spacing between IDE Pin connection and Power connection on a Seagate Drive is about 1/16 of a inch different than say a Western Digital Drive

I have tried Western Digital drives, 2-Green 1-Black, they all went into a constant reboot cycle, so appears they don't work for some reason. These are full size drives and have to be powered...

Been running this setup since Sept 16 no problems. (Photo in Albums in my signature)

Totally disconnected stock harddrive, ran regular sata cable to motherboard of 630 from my harddrivedock dock...

No, Only if you remove and leave off receiver outer cover, Adapter sticks up about 1/2 inch to high. You need to cut the hole or run wires out back of receiver to drive outside receiver, some where....

Update - no power plug moving needed

EASY upgrade now. I found that you don't need to "move" the power plug at all on the *C drive mount board. You don't even need to connect power to the *C adapter board. Connect Startech SATA adapter...

Tried USB adapter posted above to SATA Drive DOCK worked once for me then crashed, maybe because Dock has own power source separate from *C...

HD Signal Levels

Are these signal levels normal on HD channels

Channel 210 > 288 = 80 and Yellow
Channel 289 > 290 = 86 and Green
Channel 291 = 95 and Green

Channel 299 > and up = 95 and...

Since F0 update, constant reboots at anytime. Tried recording RickMercer/22M tonight got Rick OK recorded 28 minutes strait then, reboots almost every 3 minutes for next half hour then did 9 minutes...
