Yes, it does. The hardware is exactly the same as the cheaper, non-mac version. Just the bundled software is different.

Good point about the 950Q getting hot. I noticed that mine does too. But since the setup is in a cool basement, rather than a warm 3rd floor loft, it never gets hot enough to actually cause problems...

That's a video-driver issue, which can be compensated for with either a faster CPU or better video card drivers. Eg. on Windows, the NVidia "PureVideo" stuff apparently rocks. On Linux, well.....

That's the WinTV software, not the hardware. Most everyone uses better software than that. Eg. SageTV, MythTV, BeyondTV, ... long list of good payware/freeware available.
