Hello,

I have recently began looking into getting an Android TV box to cut the cord. All though I love Bell fibe, I am sick and tired of their constant price increases and having to call them on...

You would be correct :-) I was kind of hot headed and only scanned the last page of the thread before posting. Not sure how I missed post 188 though :-)

Good race

I rarely watch anything other than F1 on TSN so I would only have seen ads during qualifying. Anyway it wasn't a big deal I was just worried that TSN may stop broadcasting the reaces all together. ...

Thanks for the tips and not spoiling it for me

Ended up watching it on FOX at 3:00. I never thought to check TSN2. Since qualy was on TSN I assumed the race would be too. Why would TSN not advertise this? Lately all I have seen on TSN is ads...

Why is the Turkey race not broadcast on TSN or SPEED????

Live that is. I saw TSN is nice enough to broadcast it Sunday night at midnight. Way to go! It's not suprising that TSN is covering the French Open but Speed? Not that I get Speed as Bell has a...

low quality DVDs can look pretty bad on a large screen, but I wouldn't call a decent or better DVD unwatchable. HD-DVD is a big step forward where it looks as if it were real but I don't have...

I would not calibrate my receiver based on BEV audio

I would only calibrate with a known good source like dvd/hd-dvd because there are all kinds of issues with what the channel provider is sending you.
If your system sounds good with a dvd then leave...

I noticed you moved this thread to the OTA section. Is PBS still broadcast in 1080i via Rogers/Bell at all? Just curious.

That would be a shame

I rely on OTA for HD and with no discovery HD this is bad news. Hopefully when analog goes away in the states they will switch back.

Did PBS Buffalo OTA switch to 720P?

To my surprise when I tuned in PBS tonight my tv reported it as 720P.
Is this a temporary move while they sort out the ghosting and jello head issues?

Those "threashold" distances I would call minimum distances. They may be optimal for static images but they don't take into consideration the motion and how the eyes/brain percieve them. That's the...
