Reverse grey IPTV

Hello folks,

Iíve searched high and low, but canít find a definitive answer. Is IPTV from Canadian providers available to customers outside of Canada?

What are the technical and jurisdictional constraints that limit availability?

I miss my Canadian TV.

Thank you!!

Aliant, MTS, Sasktel Max and Telus tv are only available in Canada in their respective jurisdictions, in the same manner that Rogers, Shaw, Cogeco and Videotron cable tv are only available in their respective cable areas.

Although IPTV stands for Internet Protocol TV, it really is not over the internet but over a private network.

From here

Quote:

Gartner defines IPTV as the use of a carrier-based managed IP broadband network to deliver television and video content services to the end-user's TV set using a set-top box, and delivering picture quality at least equivalent to existing pay-TV or free-to-air services. Content delivered over the internet or delivered only to a PC is not included. Video content can be broadcast-style pay-TV, video on demand (VOD) or other video interactive services.
