Sportsnet signed off after 21 years of covering Premier League in Canada. :(

Saturday and Sunday mornings will not be the same anymore. Starting next year there will be a lot more 2:45 PM games on Saturdays.

I cancelled Sportsnet World yesterday. No point in paying $20/month anymore.

^^^^^ Did exactly the same, The minute the final whistle was blown in the Premier League games, the monthly subscription was cancelled.

Now we're in the hands of DAZN for the next 3 years. At least, for now, it's a cheaper option than SportsnetWorld, and there is also more on offer.

Some corrections to the updated list:
Serie A should be DAZN/TLN, Bein lost rights to it last year and TLN picked up rights and shows a bunch of games each week.

Serie A games are on TLN AND RAI Italia too, everyone seems to forget that channel. DAZN is not a channel, its a streaming service so it does not have to do with this thread but I guess you included it anyways for simplicity, cus the topic states Soccer on Canadian TV, which refers to linear conventional tv.

TSN just added the following competition schedule on their website:

- 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup
- 2019 Copa America
- 2020 UEFA Euro Qualification

tsn.ca/soccer

Euro Qualification is only available on TSN.ca or App for this weekend.

Classy1 2019-06-09 03:57 AM

Is TSN going to show any Euro Qualification on TV in the future? Obviously not this week with the womens world cup on.

Or is this digital only

Dr.Dave 2019-06-09 09:19 AM

Here is TSN's press release. I didn't post it earlier because I thought it was redundant. I don't think it answers your question exactly, but it sounds like there is more coming.

Onesoccer is a new soccer streaming service mainly for Canadian Premier League but they are slowly adding more leagues:

- Canadian Premier League
- Canadian Championship
- Canada Women's and Men's national team home games
- Chinese Super League (CSL)
- Mexican League (Liga MX)

5.99 for one day, 9.99 Per month or 74.99 per year.

It looks like they have a lot of studio shows which is pretty cool.

That doesn't include world cup qualifying does it?

Classy1 2019-07-30 04:59 PM

Does anyone know if EPL games on NBC be blacked out in canada now that Dazn has EPL rights?

Might be too early to tell. Men's qualifying doesn't start until late end of August 2020. Though they seem to have implied that.

I can't recall any terrestrial US TV broadcast every being blacked out in Canada - only simsubbed. I don't think there is any provision to let that happen.

Classy1 2019-07-31 07:49 PM

I didn't know the epl was already starting up next week (kinda early).

I checked the guide on my tv and there was a game listed on NBC for Saturday morning, do it doesn't look like Canadian EPL fans (without dan) are totally shut out

Always seems early - but this is the 5th year now since they moved the start date back from the 3rd weekend in August to the 2nd weekend ...

Doesn't feel like August already though ... :)

They added OneSoccer to Roku yesterday.

Just in time to watch the Toronto FC-Ottawa Fury Voyageurs Cup game.

And it looked pretty good quality wise. Though it would be nice if they had a colour commentator, rather than just one person calling the game. Caught some of the Montreal-Calgary game as well.
