starchoice A U.S. subscription is no longer worth it with the poor exchange rate. Just got a six month subscription with streaming for a price under $36 (including Music Royalty and GST) through the Canadian service.

Jocasta1 I cancelled my Canadian account and started a US account. All you need is a US address, you can use a Canadian credit card and a Canadian phone number. $6 US a month for Sirius Select. Much cheaper than Canadian pricing plus you get more channels.

stationg Okay so I just got off the home with CS. I have a headache. They really need to streamline or make things more simple for the customer. After talking with her re my cancelation, something just isn't right with this business.

Anyways to relay the prices they were offering from retention. $155US for sirius all access, 12 months or $73US for 6 months. Taxes and fees included.

stationg So I guess my sub expired. The automated call said I'm accruing a balance. And to call them.

I guess this is a trick CS agents do. Take the credit card off my files as HE suggeste.

Such a sketchy company.

stationg Actually I forget the retention promo I have. But it was less than 6 months for $25. Maybe 5 months. I later called and had the credit card taken off my account so it won't auto renew.

The past few days they keep calling. I don't answer and they don't leave a message.

I was looking to buy a different receiver off ebay but the seller emailed me and said she doesn't have it anymore lol. So I'm gonna keep looking for the specific radio.

Good, luck and yes based on the regular prices usa version definitely more bang for your buck. Even with the exchange.

alebowgm I am new to the entire Sirius XM thing so hopefully someone can help here. We have SiriusXM in the car we just got. SiriusXM Canada retentions/cancellations has offered $107 CDN (all in with tax and royalty, they claim). I called SiriusXM USA, they wouldn't give me any pricing aside from the standard pricing. They said I have to get SiriusXM Canada to release the account and then once USA saw it as free, they could then discuss pricing.

stationg, what were they offering you price wise. I gather the USA service gives you more sports for less cost...

stationg I just noticed that. I bought a new sirius radio. I have yet to activate. I looked at cdn versus us subscriptions.

Even with the low cdn dollar, the us sub offers more for less. All the sports games included with one of the us packages.

Jocasta Canadians are missing a lot of football games.
Sirius puts a lot of the NFL football games on random channels, many of which are not available with the Canadian subscription. Therefore with the Canadian subscription we miss a lot of the football games we were promised to get. They should at give us the channels while the games are on if they can't find channels available in both countries.

CorSter 6 months after buying my used Ford Fusion, Sirius finally decided that I ought to pay them for the privilege of listening.

Comparison shopped between Sirius US and Canada, but ended up signing up for the US service as they gave me Sirius Premier for 6 months for $34.99 (could have got Select for $24.99). I'll decide if the extra channels are worth it before my next renewal.

BCScott My renewal just came due from Dec and I got $27.96 for 6 months this time.

Can I cancel it, and start a US account?

John Koenig Say what?

Following the rapid demise of a Starmate GTX and a Stiletto, I purchased a Stiletto 2 from Future Shop in 2010 and this thing is subbed to my US account and works just fine.

Stibone I called up for a new subscription and used my parents address in the states with my Quebec phone number and Canadian cc. They first offered me 6 months for $25 but that was only XmSelect. I said I wanted stern so to forget it. Called back got a new rep and she gave me 6 months of XMPremire for $39 after taxes and royalties. Took 5 mins. No codes. No hassle. No questions.

I set a reminder in my phone for 6 months. I'll call up theaten to cancel and get the same deal or better. Also got a $50 rebate on my vehicle connect device which was oly open to US accounts. Glad I did my research. Saved myself $200.

BCScott Just lost my reception after almost 3 years of free XM that came with my '09 Toyota that I bought in the US. I guess all good things must com to an end. I finally had to sign up and got 6 months for $27.55 all in with a Montana address. Used my Canadian cc and phone # with no problems.
