You can also use the composite (yellow ended) cable but the best option is the 4-pin s-video cable. For audio use the red and white plugs.
You may have to select "video" or "s-video" or something like that on your Hauppauge software. If the Hauppauge came with an IR controller you can plug it into the Hauppauge card and point the sensor in front of the Illico box. When you press channel up or down in the softawre it will send the command over the wire and change the channel for you. You just have to enter the Illico remote code # from the table in the manual.

Thanks Jake for that concise and perfect answer - I plugged my Illico terminal into my Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-2250, set the card to channel 3 and control the Illico channels via the terminal - perfect!
You'd be surprised how hard it was the find this answer.

You need a STB from Videotron to obtain those channels as they are encrypted. Please see the following post on the topic. You'll need to feed the signal from the STB to the HTPC in order to see those channels.
Please also read the following post and the relevant links and tips there - useful for those new to the forum and HDTV.

WinTv and Illico - advice needed
I've installed a WinTV-HVR-2250 by Hauppauge and it detects regular Videotron channels and some QAM channels but not the Illico channels that I subscribe to. And the regular channels are different than I have on my Illico Terminal.
How can I view the digital Illico channels on my WinTV?
